We can talk, walk or write...

Phone Consultation

Introductory chats on the phone help me assess your needs and advise you how Mindfulness can help. I offer this first call as a FREE consultation and it can last as long as half an hour. Once we start working together, we can schedule longer phonecalls to fit in with your busy life.

Person to Person

I will be delighted to work with you in person, either in my consultation room in Rhayader, or in the comfort of your own home - yes, I will come to you! If you live in the UK, then we can work together in person.

Skype, Zoom, Facetime or WhatsApp

Our FREE introductory chat can be via Skype or Zoom should you prefer this to a phone call. Following this, we can choose weekly times to suit you and I can connect with you visually. This makes working together more interactive as I teach you all about how Mindfulness practice works.

Email Conversation

For highly sensitive people it is easier to communicate openly in writing, especially if talking on the phone or in person is difficult or uncomfortable. I am more than happy to read your emails and offer written advice on how Mindfulness can help you take control of your life. We are all different and I want to work with you in a way that suits you and your lifestyle.

Mindful Walk'n Talk

Few things energise and restore us like being out in nature so it is wonderful to be able to to walk in the countryside whilst talking through your problems. Living in such a beautiful country as Wales gives me the opportunity to plan walks along rivers and through forests. These are great places to talk and listen, when the weather permits.

I also teach the Mindfulness Now programme which offers a fusion of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). The latter, developed by Dr Mark Williams and colleagues of the University of Oxford and the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, offers a breakthrough in the clinical treatment of depression, anxiety and emotional trauma and it is recommended by ‘NICE‘ as a treatment of choice for depression.

As a Mindfulness Now Accredited Teacher, I offer one-to-one sessions in Mindfulness based practices. As well as teaching Mindfulness Meditation for relaxation, I offer treatment for stress, anxiety, depression and pain management.

What happens in a Mindfulness Consultation?

After our initial chat we can start our Mindfulness sessions, whether this is by phone, skype or in person. The session lasts an hour and is roughly divided into three parts of twenty minutes.

The first part is an opportunity for you to talk about what is causing you the most concern in your life. After your first session, this part of the hour will be a review of your week.

Following this twenty minute review, I will then move on to the teaching part of the session when I will explain in more depth how to develop your practice over the following week.

The final part of our hour together will be time for me to lead you in a Mindfulness Meditation which will be bespoke to your situation and needs.

What EXACTLY IS Mindfulness Meditation?

We will sit calmly together and I will encourage you to feel comfortable in your space. I will suggest you close your eyes or lower your gaze.  Following this, I will guide you through a meditation and you will start to feel more relaxed.  This may involve asking you to focus your attention on your breathing, sensations in your body, your thoughts and feelings, thus developing your ability to remain comfortably in the present moment.

What is most important to me is that you trust me and the fact that we are doing something highly beneficial for your overall health and well-being. It’s never easy to ask for help so take the first step and contact me today.
